BCR is owned and managed by Mary Ellen Adams, a licensed REALTOR® who fell in love with Coastal North Carolina nearly 20 years ago. After “discovering” the region, Mary Ellen and her husband bought a lot in Bath, and later built a house and relocated here from Connecticut. They quickly developed a passion for the spectacular setting and rich history of the area, and grew strong ties to this close-knit community.

Mary Ellen’s decision to start a second career as a real estate professional came from her desire to share her passion for her new home. She builds on her 20-year experience in market research to introduce others to the possibilities of living in this beautiful and welcoming region. Like those who grew up here, Mary Ellen loves the mild climate and spectacular sunsets on the water, the opportunities for outdoor activities (boating, fishing, hunting, golf, tennis, biking, and walking – particularly dog walking, a local favorite), and the relaxed and friendly lifestyle of the area.
